Avalon Public Safety Building

Avalon, New Jersey

In Spring of 2007 Garrison Architects was selected to design the proposed $6.8 M Avalon Public Safety Building Addition which included the demolition of the existing 8,260 square feet of existing Police/EMS Building and the construction of a new Police Wing and EMS Garage Bay to the north of the existing structure.  The total combined square footage of the new Public Safety facility is 17,737 square feet.

Sea Isle City Hall

Sea Isle City, New Jersey

Garrison Architects was commissioned in February of 2012 to provide the city with an overall facilities study that included evaluations of city and municipal public safety and public works facilities.

In October of 2012 Hurricane Sandy flooded City Hall and the Public Safety Building causing City operations to move to the Sea Isle City Public School building.

Following several planning sessions in the fall and winter, City Council authorized the design of a new City Hall to be constructed on the footprint of the existing Public Safety Building.  This new building would have all functions previously operated out of the original City Hall along with the Municipal Court, Construction Office, Police Department and volunteer Fire Department operations.

A new 35,000 SF 4-Story building over a covered garage was successfully bid and awarded to Hessert Construction of Marlton, New Jersey for $11.7M, under the $12 M estimated construction budget.

Garrison Architects and its consulting engineers began administration of the construction contract in June 2014 and continued to provide these services until May 2015 when the building opened for public use.
