Voters on Tuesday supported
plans worth $7.7 million in Palmyra and Edgewater Park.
Palmyra residents voted 308-190 to fund a plan for new roofs on district
schools and improvements to the high school stadium.
Lights could be erected at the stadium by fall, allowing night football
games, said Interim Superintendent Walter Rudder.
"I believe in keeping the schools in good shape," said Richard
Rosenfeld, a Palmyra man who supported the plan. "It's a good investment."
The project will boost property taxes by $50 for a house assessed at
$100,000.
Design of the improvements was by Garrison Architects of Mount
Laurel.
