CINNAMINSON — After about 18 months, the school district is ready to show off its completed renovations at the high schoo to a design by Garrison Architects of Bellmawr.

In October 2014, residents approved over $35 million in improvements, mainly at the school on Riverton Road. Just under $12 million was covered by the state. A portion of the funds went to security improvements at the New Albany Elementary, Eleanor Rush Intermediate and Cinnaminson Middle schools.

But the biggest improvements took place at the high school, with a new gymnasium and the connection of the second floor with new classrooms. Also, an elevator was added to transport teachers and students.

"It was an excellent project that will benefit this community for at least a generation," Superintendent Salvatore Illuzzi said.

The high school will open its doors Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. for the community to tour the school and take part in a short dedication ceremony.
